The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after four people, including three family members, were shot and killed on Thursday.
According to Sheriff Matthew Wade, Tony Parker fatally shot his 12-year-old son, 19-year-old daughter and his daughter’s 20-year-old fiancee at his home on Chinch Creek Road in White Plains.
Wade told The Anniston Star that Parker called 911 and said he “killed some people and that he was going to kill himself.”
A deputy was dispatched to the home and arrived to find Parker’s children and a man shot to death in the front yard. The adult victims were identified as Heather Parker and Brandon Roberts. The name of the boy is being withheld at this time.
A short time later, authorities discovered Tony Parker dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a store three miles away from the home.
According to the Calhoun County coroner, Parker’s children didn’t live with him on a regular basis and it’s unclear why they were at their father’s home. The coroner said all four bodies are being sent to Huntsville for autopsies.
An investigation continues.
