This monster from Muskegon accused of repeatedly molesting a child is now facing an additional charge of sexually assaulting a different child.
Christopher Miles Dwyer, 35, was charged in November 2016 with second degree criminal sexual conduct involving a child under age 13. It’s alleged that he repeatedly molested a 9-year-old between January 2014 and November 2015.
As a result of that case, the abuse of a second child came to light, said Muskegon County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Timothy Maat.
The pedophile was arraigned Feb. 15 on a second second-degree CSC charge involving a child under age 13. Maat said the assault of a young relative occurred in 2012. Court records indicate the incident occurred at the pedophile’s home at 1080 Wesley in Muskegon.
The case was investigated by the Muskegon Police Department.
The diabolical child rapist has been bound over to Muskegon County Circuit Court on the first charge, where he’s scheduled for a jury trial on March 14, Maat said. The preliminary examination for the second charge is set for 10 a.m. March 8 in Muskegon County District Judge Maria Ladas Hoopes’ courtroom.
Second-degree CSC is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, though the actual sentence is decided by a judge based on state guidelines.
If the child molester is convicted of both charges, the sentences would be served at the same time. However, the multiple offenses would increase the minimum term of the sentence, Maat said.
The rapist is being held in the Muskegon County Jail on cash/surety bonds of $100,000 for the first charge and $20,000 for the second.
