District Associate Judge David Larson has scheduled a June 2 preliminary hearing for a Spirit Lake monster who is accused of possessing child pornography.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation on Monday arrested 41-year-old Chuck Juhl on 10 counts of being in possession of “a visual depiction of a minor engaging in a prohibited sexual act or simulation.”
Ten different charges could be filed if authorities think 10 different minors were exploited.
He faces five charges for activity on Oct. 16, 2014, according to a criminal complaint filed at the Dickinson County Courthouse.
He faces five additional counts on suspicion involving activity on Feb. 9.
The ogre was investigated though the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the investigation dates back to September 2014.
The white Shrek was arrested without incident and has since posted a $20,000 bond.
The Dickinson County Attorney’s Office, Arnolds Park Police Department and Spirit Lake Police Department assisted in the investigation.
