A 16-year-old girl and her parents allege Maypearl Police Chief Kevin Coffey, 49, has harassed her on social media and made lewd comments about her body since she was 14, a Texas Rangers affidavit released on Monday says.
The Rangers and agents from the Attorney General of Texas’ office raided his home and office over the weekend. He has yet to be arrested or charged in the ongoing investigation.
Maypearl Mayor Adele Mooney placed the sexual terrorist on paid administrative leave “until further notice,” she said on Monday. The racist pedophile didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on the allegations early Tuesday.
But the victim described his behavior in full detail, telling investigators that the diabolical police chief “would rub her arm from elbow to shoulder” and “run his hand through her hair and flip it around,” according to the affidavit.
The sex terrorist shamelessly once told her “‘Just so you know, your ass is getting bigger,’” when she was at City Hall and often complimented her “nice boobs” and said he’d “like to smack your ass.”
Investigators believe the diabolical creep invited her to examine official police department records and operate the lights, computer, camera, laser and weapons in his patrol car, the affidavit says.
The pedophile also savagely sent her raunchy Facebook messages and trailed her around the area based on her posts. Investigators who examined the teen’s Facebook Messenger found notes from the chief such as: “I’ll cuff u and put u on the hood again and smack that ass lol.”
The victim alleges the terrorist is currently in contact with five other female minors.
The probe of his conduct includes suspicions of official oppression, misuse of official information, online solicitation of a minor, stalking, harassment and tampering with evidence, according to the document. The agents from the Texas attorney general’s office seized several thumb drives from the chief’s office desk, court documents show.
The racist pedophile, whose Twitter profile says he is “a single Dad and police officer from New York now living in Texas,” has won several awards for his police work over the years. He took home a medal of valor and a silver star for bravery from the National Association of Chiefs of Police in 2002 and four lifesaving awards over his career, according to the police department’s website.
The ex-Marine Corps corporal became chief of police in September 2013 after 14 years as a cop in Maypearl and elsewhere around Texas, his LinkedIn page says. He joined the Marines after attending White Plains High School from 1979 to 1983, according to the profile.
The victim and her parents told agents they feared retaliation against their family business if they came forward earlier. But the pedophile chief doesn’t have many places to hide now, former Mayor John Wayne Pruitt said.
“Maypearl is a little, small town, and things like this, you know, they’re going to come out real quick,” Pruitt said.
“Unfortunately, here we are in a position that’s really disturbing to the town.”
