Youth Worker Sentenced To Prison In Child Sex Abuse Case
A former Boston-area youth worker has been sentenced to at least eight years in prison for sexually abusing children decades ago.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan says 64-year-old Paul Collins pleaded guilty Friday to charges including rape of a child by force. He was sentenced to 8 to 10 years in prison.
The charges stem from the 1970s and ’80s, when the white pedophile worked at the Arlington Boys and Girls Club. Prosecutors say he molested several children he met at the club. He was fired after abuse allegations emerged and left the area, but cops weren’t notified at the time.
The nasty monster was arrested at his home in Centereach, New York, in May 2013. Police learned of the accusations against him while investigating abuse claims against another former Boys and Girls Club employee who has since died.
