Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office authorities say a 24-year-old demon from Sulphur picked a baby up from a crib and threw it across the room, causing fatal injuries.
Trent Dubroc is being held in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on $1.5 million bond in the case.
Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Dubroc, the boyfriend of the child’s mother, was arrested after authorities were notified Saturday by Child Protection that a 13-month-old baby was brought to a local hospital in distress.
Myers said during authorities’ interview with Dubroc, he “confirmed” to throwing the baby “out of frustration.”
“Then he returned the baby to the crib and notified no one,” Myers said.
Myers said the baby had a skull fracture and was immediately taken to a Baton Rouge hospital.
She said detectives worked throughout the weekend, interviewing family members as well as Dubroc.
Myers said the baby had been on life support at the hospital but at 10:20 a.m. Monday, support was removed and the child was pronounced dead.
A warrant was signed Monday for the “white” demon’s arrest. Bond was set by Judge Michael Canaday.
Myers said Dubroc was already in jail because he was arrested Saturday on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on Sept. 20 on video voyeurism charges.
I hope the baby was a peckerwood.
