If convicted, the holy child porn collector faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and $250,000, in fines. According to the U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan, the Archdiocese of St. Louis cooperated with authorities in the investigation. Vatterott was also accused of inappropriate behavior and an incident that involved underage drinking.
Vatterott was placed on administrative leave in June 2011 when the archdiocese found out about the involvements. According to the archdiocese, the indicted priest had served St. Cecilia Parish since 2008.
The Catholic church have been going through lawsuits and settlements which cost them billions of dollars causing some archdiocese to go into bankruptcy.
