A savage faces manslaughter charges after he told law enforcement he accidentally strangled his girlfriend to death during sex.
Investigators say Scott Greenberg called cops around 11:40 Tuesday morning, saying he had strangled his girlfriend, Jennifer Zale.
When the officers arrived Zale, 27, was found dead inside the Kenwood Inn Hotel room in the 400 block of 34th Street North.
During an interview with detectives, the “white” savage said the two had been staying at the hotel for about two weeks and that morning while they were having sex, she willingly participated in sexual asphyxia. At some point, he said Zale went unconscious and would not wake up.
Investigators say Greenberg, 27, admitted to waiting up to eight hours before calling law enforcement. He also insisted he had no intention of killing her and that the act was consensual.
Detectives believe the female was dead for at least 8 hours prior to their arrival. The length of the couple’s relationship is unknown, however, Greenberg has an extensive criminal record and was recently released from prison this past May.
The “white” brute was arrested and charged with manslaughter while investigators waited for autopsy results.
Detectives amended the manslaughter charge to murder Wednesday after an autopsy revealed that Zale had received numerous injuries “consistent with continuous and intentional homicide violence.”
Greenberg is now being held in the Pinellas County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder. His bond has been set at $500,000.
