A scallywag teenage mother wanted on a felony child neglect charge after leaving her 1-year-old son at Walmart during a botched retail theft was captured outside a local dance club late Saturday, Ocala law enforcement officials said.
Allison Niemeyer, 19, and her sister, Laura Niemeyer, 22, were both wanted for leaving the child during an attempted theft at the Walmart at 4980 E. Silver Springs Blvd. on Friday.
According to a several probable cause affidavits filed by the Ocala law enforcers after the arrest, this is what happened:
A day and a half after the scallywag sisters fled Walmart, leaving behind the child and $57.12 worth of merchandise, law enforcement received a tip from Crime Stoppers that the “white” witches were at the Ocala Entertainment Complex.
The tipster said the scallywags had driven to the dance club, at 1227 SW 17th Ave., in a silver Dodge Durango. Officers asked the club manager to page the owner of the vehicle to come outside.
When the female savages appeared, they were arrested, said OPD Sgt. Sandra Fernland. Fernland said the witches were arrested without incident.
Each sister was charged with felony child neglect and retail theft. Allison Niemeyer was also arrested and charged with violation of probation, and her sister was also charged with resisting a merchant.
Allison Niemeyer is serving probation on house arrest until 2021 in connection with a home invasion robbery with a firearm. She was pregnant when that crime occurred, authorities said.
During that October 2010 robbery, five teenagers were accused of committing a home invasion on Northeast 37th Place Road in which a 61-year-old man was pistol-whipped by one of the robbers.
Authorities said Allison Niemeyer, whose boyfriend was in the group, was the getaway driver.
