A former Marine will get nine years in a federal prison for possession of a particularly gruesome genre of child porn.
Jarod Barry, 30, who left the Marines in January with an “other than honorable” discharge, was sentenced after entering a guilty plea last June. He had been a sergeant.
Investigators found him trading child-porn images and video on the web, and when they searched his house in Spring they found “a desktop computer with approximately 258 videos containing child pornography,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.
The images, the USAO says, “included children under 12 being sexually violated by adults, children being raped, strangled while being violated and bondage involving children.”
