This “white” abomination known as Robert Edward De Shields, who is confined to a wheelchair, was convicted by jury of animal abuse.
De Shields, was renting a garage as a living space from a south Sacramento family. The family had two dogs, including an 8-month-old Chihuahua.
In March 2011, a family member came home to find De Shields holding the Chihuahua, who looked scared as hell.
The family member took the dog away, suspecting De Shields had assaulted the dog but wasn’t sure.
The next day, the dog went missing and soon appeared back in the garage with De Shields. The dog appeared lifeless, in pain and in shock. It was later discovered that the dog suffered severe injuries to its rectum and internal organs.
The assault was reported to parole agents. The Chihuahua survived its injuries thanks to the extensive medical care from doctors at Sacramento Animal Control and the VCA Sacramento Veterinarian Referral Center.
De Shields has been in and out of prison since 1992 and has never been out on parole longer than five months, except times when he was a parolee-at-large. Because of this case’s additional requirement that he register as a lifetime sex offender — which is unusual for an animal-cruelty case — he must now serve his sentence in state prison. Under the state’s prison realignment system, he would have otherwise served the time in county jail, the Sacramento County district attorney’s office said.
Now where is PETA when you need them? I wonder what Tucker Carlson has to say about this case.
